My name is Bobby Nishimwe. I was born in Tanzania but grew up in the States. This blog is dedicated to my love of all things African music. I have also written articles that have been published in Deeds Magazine. Beyond this I host the Afro Banta Beats podcast where you can hear my past takes, interviews and banter on African Music and more. 

 

The world started getting familiarized to the sounds of Afrobeats in the mid to late 2010s from acts such as Davido, Wizkid and Burna boy. Now, Afrobeats has become a house-hold name in the global music scene. I am here to discuss current topics relating to this genre as well as Amapiano, Bongo Flava, Francophone and other African music categories making noise globally and on the continent.
